According to the New York Post, a law suit filed back in May by a former waitress claims that Jay-Z pays his employees below minimum wage. However, Jay-Z feels that whatever management at the 40/40 Club does has nothing to do with him. Jay's lawyers argued that he and his partner Juan Perez are not employers and are simply shareholders at the club; asking the judge to dismiss the case. Now, Jay's lawyers tried to use the "b!tches are after my money because I'm a celebrity" claim. Well, Jay what drew them to work at the club was the fact that you are a celebrity! DUH! Just because you're not an employer doesn't mean your not responsible for what takes place at the club. The 40/40 wouldn't even have visitors if Jay's name wasn't attached to it.
